What the Laser Can Do For You

You've likely heard of a laser being used at a dentist's office. It has many medical applications. Dr. Bill and his team use it to alleviate discomfort. It has a two-pronged approach: the first is to reduce your inflammation, which is where much of your pain originates from. The second is to stimulate the cell's mitochondrial activity, which will create more ATP, or energy, to accelerate healing.

FAQ

Does insurance pay for laser therapy?

Typically, insurance companies do not have coverage for laser therapy.

Does the laser hurt?

No. Our healing laser won't cause any discomfort or heat the tissues being addressed.

Should I rest after treatment?

No. There are no restrictions on your physical activity afterward.

How long does it take before I feel a difference?

Your results will vary depending on your condition, age and level of health. Many conditions can be completely healed. If you have a degenerative condition, you may require ongoing sessions to maintain your relief.

Do I need to wear special clothes for laser therapy?

We ask that you wear loose-fitting clothing in case we need to roll it up or move it out of the way.

How long will a session take for laser therapy?

Each visit for laser therapy takes just about 10 minutes. A typical plan is six ten-minute sessions. You'll come in twice a week for about three weeks. After that point, we will reevaluate your needs.

What about having surgery or injections instead?

Surgery is costly, painful and usually has a lengthy recovery period. There is no guarantee of success. With injections, your relief is temporary and they may contain harmful substances. We encourage our patients to try more conservative routes first.
